About the Horses

You do not have to have any experience with horses to benefit from this program. Riding is not required, and purely optional. The horses are here as your mentors to assist you in discovering your self. They are teachers, interpreters, and mirrors.

About the Ranch

Cowgirl Up Ranch is a working horse ranch in the California Sierra foothills, over looking the South shore of Lake Camanche.

Conveniently located about 2 hours from the Bay Area on one side and South lake Tahoe on the other, the ranch sits in the heart of the California Gold Country. We offer shuttle service for guests flying into Sacramento International Airport.

Basic lodging is in our comfortable bunkhouse. We also have our quaint French Country Cottage with all the amenities available on a first come first serve basis.

Our little general store has munchies, gifts, and little things you may have forgotten.

In addition to organized retreats, we also offer private camping and lodging. Private retreat weekends are also available for your group.
